This looks to be a 1947 photo of Mauri Rose in one of the brand new Blue Crown Spark Plug cars. Outside of the car number there doesn't seem to be any other lettering yet. Lou Moore put everything together based on he pre-war experience. Emil Deidt built the car , Norman Timbs designed it, and Leo Goosen designed special Offy engine components according to Moore's ideas. The result was a pair of cars that were just about unbeatable for several years.

That's an interesting in car dining tray that lady is using. I never saw one like it in Texas during the 60's when I frequented drive-ins. Were they provided by the car hops?

I pointed that out to my boy's I'm 63 years old and the few tmes back in the day I never saw one. I noticed she is eating a club sandwich with the sides, what looks like a sloppy joe, and a large malt.

It also happened in 1960 George. A Belair Sport Coupe model was offered.

I remember that type but were attached at the main window and for comfort the seat had to all the way back. I don't remember any of them on the wind wing especially closed. I remember the tightening knob on the top too. I believe her knee is help holding it up. Stageing even back then..
