  5. The info I posted came from wikipedia, looking further into it, I found this, "Ten days after suffering a severe heart attack at age 59, Clark Gable died at Cedars Sinai Hospital in West Hollywood on November 16, 1960, due to a coronary thrombosis. Sadly old history gets twisted and forgotten. At least we know he didn't die changing a Jeep tire. Either way 59 is way to young....

The fenderless Roadster pickup above, everything on that can be bought new today, or something really close. The body would set you back @ Brookville about $5300.00 bucks. If a guy could do most, or all of his own work, I think you could have a pretty close copy of this car for between $15,000.00, to $20,000.00 dollars. If you find a decent original body cheaper, then the price would go down, or use the extra money for parts. It would be fun to go through a Speedway catalog and price all the parts to see what it really would cost. Remember, my estimate is if you do all the work yourself. A good swapmeet scrounger could use nice used parts and cut the cost some too.

My folks had one of these new with tripower--was a real nice car. I ran it at Madera drags in the summer of 59 a few times as well in
    B/SA-got in lots of trouble!

Just a guess, but is this Otis Oregon?
Sign seems to be leaving out Lincoln City.

You must have missed my post, a couple back. The title Lincoln City didn't come around until the later 60's. The lineup was Oceanlake, Delake, Nelscott, and Taft, all separate towns.
