  1. GM didn't make the heads, Mickey did. He also made Hemi heads for FE Fords, Ford didn't.
    the design was a copy of Chrysler's Hemi.
    The GM racing ban simply meant Mickey didn't get any under the table money from Pontiac, besides he quit racing and making them

    They also came in very handy when the car overheated and needed the radiator topped off.

    What a cool pic Al, that is Bob Hamilton in the bucket racing Graham Oliver's '32 Sedan around 1966 at Castlereagh. Now for some trivia the front bumper of Graham's sedan is now on my Pick Up. :)
