Vintage shots from days gone by!

Mickey Thompson’s twin - V, four wheel drive dragster featured twin blown Pontiac engines. The four wheel drive produced a tremendous amount of torque, which enabled him to do four wheel burnouts down the quarter mile.

New Mexico plates, the "2" indicates Bernalillo County, likely from Albuquerque. Very COOL!

 

Seen this pic before but never noticed the front frame/chassis horns used as shock mounts & headlight mounts.

 

If I had that 55 Buick Century convert and the guy that owns it had a pink feather up his butt we would both be tickled pink!! I could do without the skirts though.

 

The "CanAm" streamlined dragster is Jim Dunn's 1974 'liner.
WAY outside of this thread.

Yeah, too clean. Doesn't fit the thread guidelines. White plastic chair next to the '34 on the right, and the air cleaner in the foreground. Not 100% sure about the air cleaner, but damn sure about the chair!

Yes the plastic chair issue came up the last time this photo was posted last year in this thread.
I might add those two rolling shop stools in the middle of the photo are also more recent items as well.
