    My grand father was a Packard dealer. So I guess chopping up the back of a Packard and making it a tow truck/service car was the cool way to show up to your Packard customers.

    she also was the bride of james bond--i think the one played by george lazenby. she got killed in the movie.

    1996 a friend and I drove from Austin to Mexico city. We drove through Jacala and that PEMEX station looked undisturbed since the day it had closed. I didn't take a picture but I never forgot it.

    At the time the town had no gas station at all but a family sold gas out of the front room of their modest house. A kid held the funnel while his mom poured the gas from jerry cans. They even had a little screen in the funnel which I thought was a nice touch.

    We did the trip in his 1978 Toyota station wagon with a weak clutch, the car had no problems at all.
