    They also test flew many fighters & bombers ----Then ferried them to shipping points for distribution!

    After ww2 vw:s left factory assembly line with wooden tyres.... ...rubber shortage. Dealer or buyer purchase tyres afterwards.

    ...might be a stretch but to me the two guys on the tires BOTH resemble Jay Leno...?? They're brothers for sure ...maybe twins??

    Another one of the great Indy fashion model photos in the first attached photo. I'm not sure exactly who the driver is but Louis Tomei drove this car in 1941. And the car was an original Miller-Ford but by now had an Offy engine.

    The second photo is a great looking midget that I can't identify. And it may be an optical illusion but it almost looks as though the front axle is offset to the left side of the car. Could this be a midget that was raced on clockwise ovals in Australia?

    And the last one is a great Pikes Peak action photo of Al Rogers. I'm not sure of the year but Rogers won Pikes Peak four years in a row in the late 1940s and gave Louis Unser fits in doing so.
