Vintage shots from days gone by!

    I wonder what is going on in the couple of photos with the corner hardware and the boarded up market. There is debris in the street in both pictures. Most of the cars are older with the exception of the 55-6 Packard. Note the cop headed for the stores. Maybe a fire or vehicle damage to the stores??

    The Portland Oregon Armory.
    Man did I think this cool when I was a kid! I imagined it it full of cool weapons and military stuff.
    It was also the home of wrestling!

  28. In 1955 the Naugatuck river, thanks to back-to-back hurricanes, flooded several towns along its length. See how the bricks on the first floor of the building the cop is facing are darker than the rest? That's how high the water was.
