    The midget driver is Johnny Smith one of the top shoes out of NorCal back in the 40s/50s.

    It is, George Lewis out front, Bill Randall spinning out, Dick Shubruck down low and Bumpy Bumpus up high.

    Great Balls of Fire... Worked on that car in high school in 70/71. Principle didn't like that name so it was painted blue over the red and just had Garey High School on the doors. There is a thread in here about the car.

  10. I was young when we had this car, but from what I know about cars now, I can say that the grille was the stock 54 Chevy grille with extra 54 Chevy teeth added. It could have been a Corvette grille, and you would have needed two of them to fill the grille cavity, so I doubt it was Corvette. I'll still go with the stock grille with extra teeth. Go to ebay and search for "54 Chevy Grille teeth" and you will see what I mean.

    I suspect Hank Rogers in the 27, Venezia car at Flemington, and is that henry Banks in the 10???
