I remember those trolley tracks were still visible in places on Santa Monica in West Hollywood a few years ago on intersections like these; wonder if they still are?

Not a great photo, but how often do you see a '56 Pontiac Safari being used as a commercial vehicle?

What's the deal with kidney belts? Lots of folks did / do wear them. From combat vehicle crews, heavy equipment operators, miners (and to help keep their kidneys warm underground - a seriously big deal), moto-crossers / bikers, virtually anyone who has an occupation that jolts or vibrates the body, plus weight lifters, warehouse workers, etc. to prevent strains and keep their innards in place. And fashion models, just because they can. Gary

I remember a Cal-Tech educated engineer, who'd worked on Can-Am cars, telling me that 3 wheeled vehicles were only stable with the two wheels in the front.Just saying!

Need some Jan and Dean music. Loved that track. Would walk all day to see different corners then end the day on the bridge.

  27. Don't know if Hilo Hotrodder set it up that way on purpose, but the positioning of the top two pix is pretty funny with the gal on the bike looking up at the car on the high wire.:D:D
