  1. I had no problems seeing any of the photos even early on. I use Firefox on all my computers, Mac's and PC's and they were fine.

Rootie, is the midget picture from the 500 miler at Riverside? Unusual to have a palm tree in play.

Very likely depended on the model what the standard features were.

“Don Gaide and Don Ratican became known as ‘The Sour Sisters’ when they teamed with past CHRR Honoree the late Kenny Safford. Gaide, a Road Kings member like Safford, teamed up with another past Honoree Bob Muravez in 1960 on a C/Gas dragster known as the Grey Ghost. After Gaide crashed it, their engine went in Ed Janke’s chassis and made it the winningest B/GD in California. Ratican first gained fame as an Oldsmobile tuner with the winning Ratican, Jackson and Stearns Fiat Altered. When Safford and Gaide planned to run nitro in their dragster, Ratican came aboard helping make it the World’s Fastest Oldsmobile.”

“The Safford-Ratican-Gaide won 17 out of the first 22 Top Fuel races it attended but also was hard on parts. “We were winning enough races for the car to support itself, but we were constantly breaking engines because the Olds block wasn’t strong enough,” remembered Safford. “We went through 22 blocks in one year.”

Enter the always cunning prankster Mr. Ivo, who shared shop space with the team.
“Ivo would see us pouting a lot every time we broke an engine, so he started calling us the ‘Sour Sisters,’ and the nickname stuck,” said Safford.”

    Hello,

The Lions Dragstrip Museum had all kinds of race cars on display. One of the first race cars to see as you walk in the door from the Price Automobilia Museum is the Ratican, Safford, Gaide, FED. The Sour Sisters FED looked like it just stepped off of the garage showroom floor, but is able to blast down to set another record, with the motor intact.

I'll agree except those were both 59 335's and the Impala was heavier.. All being the same it lost.

  21. Looks like a 1930 Buick. Damn Boston drivers. I wonder if they pulled it up or cut the fence.

It's the same type of car used by Clark Kent. It's gotta be ok.

  23. Not a Buick, but probably a 1931 Pontiac by the look of the fender mounted parking lights.

  24. I think the HAMB phone app is , for some reason, blocking or not showing pics from some sites. Most of the pics I post are from various websites, they are third party pics. The one I reposted were taken from the HAMB, in other words the exact ones you could not see, but the Hamb was the third party site, not the original one I used!
Sorry, but the show up fine on PC's, I can't post everything twice just for phone users!
    Try your PC!
