No idea, the car is a Stutz Bearcat. Looking around some I found this pic but it really doesn't help. Capture stutz.JPG

Hand operated fuel pressurizing pump, meant to be used by a riding mechanic. This image is from the Buster Keaton movie Seven Chances; per IMCDb, the two cars are 1920 and 1922 Mercer Series 5 Raceabouts.

  8. I did nothing, except admit my ignorance. You on the other hand, reminded us of a movie that showcased some great styling exercises.

  9. Does anyone have more information on this white prototype model ? [IMG]

    "The Greek" Chris Karamesines

Karamesines fuels up his famous Chizler dragster at the 1965 Springnationals

    greek-01.jpg

Fans may be most familiar of the firesuit-clad Karamesines, but he also knows how to clean up and has some fashion sense. He shows his style here in a promotional photo for one of the World Series of Drag Racing events in the mid-1960s.

    greek-02.jpg

Karamesines and "TV Tommy" Ivo check out a rear slick during an event in Carlsbad, N.M., in 1968. The pair obviously figured out the right combo for traction because they won the race.

Karamesines smiles for the camera outside the Milodon offices in 1968.

Frank Sinatra had the Rat Pack; Karamesines had his Greek Fleet. Karamesines, center, was the captain of the fleet, which also included, from left, Bob Creitz, John Weebe, Don Cook, and Jim Nicoll.

Karamesines' Chizler was added to the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing in 1984. Karamesines was there for the official unveiling of the car in the museum and was joined by "Big Daddy" Don Garlits and famed chassis builder Connie Swingle for a photo with it.

Chris Karamesines is the 8th wonder of the world. He's 87 and tells everybody he's 83. Why? Because he can. God Bless Da' Greek!

    "Gas Ronda"

Midway through the 1964 season, Ronda relocated to Russ Davis Ford in Covina, Calif., to be closer to his engine builder and tuner, Les Ritchey. Ritchey played a major role in Ronda’s success and became Ronda’s best friend. Tragedy struck in 1966 when Ritchey was involved in a fatal racing accident in Fontana, Calif.
