Personalized plate "1ST HEMI" makes it a newer photo.
Good catch. I'm amazed at the things you guys pick up on.

Apparently, "autonomous drive" is not that new.
"Appetizers" being sold next to "corsets". Nothing suggestive there.

And I'm pretty sure the guy that Mickey's handing the dough to is Mike Sorokin of The Surfers.
Found while looking for something else:
New Diamond T school bus circa 1938, courtesy Tacoma Public Library collection (let's see, lower the headlights, make some very large bubble skirts...).
"Yep! There's yer problem - engine's missin'!"
Sunset and Vine.......
Mountain View High School students hanging out in the parking lot, 1938.
Curious to see that flashy wheel cover on a school bus. Makes me wonder if that photo was taken for Diamond T marketing/promotion?

This set of photos look like non-USA to me. But what is it really ?
It is american, 1938 Willys, see below... Fenders stripped.
That race track above might be the Corona Fairgrounds Speedway in Southern California. If so the 1/2 mile track was built in 1947 and those photos MIGHT be a early post-war "claiming jalopy" race in about 1949 with an unknown racing association. The first official jalopy racing was in 1952 with the CCRA of Riverside. I could be wrong about the race track ID.
Early wheelie car before the days of crowd control?
