  6. Lloyd Center, Portland. At the time, the biggest "Shopping Center" in the world. The term "mall" wasn't invented then. 1960

Reo bus in Finland during WWII. Note the snow chains on front wheels and the carbon monoxide tubes from the gasifier at the rear end of the bus.

  9. Portland in the 60's. The beginning of tearing everything old down to build trendy crap that continues to this day. I obviously prefer the OLD Portland! Good times.

Combined bus-trucks ("brucks") were quite common in Finland from the twenties until early fifties. This one is a Volvo from the thirties...

  14. Funny, but like a lot of guys my age (63) when I look at pics like this, I don't see "old cars", I just see "cars". It doesn't register that this pic was taken 49 years ago.
    Guess that's old age!!! LOL
I had a silver 66 Cuda like the one on the right. Wish I still had it!

  15. I read that Sears is on the ropes! Too bad, a part of Americana lost. Monkey Wards is long gone.

I Should've put this one up for Mothers Day ♥ My Mom @ Belmont Speedway circa 1955 . Mom-PowderpuffDerby.jpg

  17. Any idea on the car. It looks familiar but not enough to venture a guess.

  18. My uncle bought a '65 cuda new, like the one on the left. (it looks like it has 65 tail lights) Formula S, 4 speed, silver with a black stripe. His mom drove it once a week while he was in 'nam to keep everything happy. Best part, he still has the car today.
