Vintage shots from days gone by!

With its upright valve covers, the K-F 288 V8 has a superficial resemblance to the first-generation Buick Nailhead V8, but inside they are nothing alike.

 

I can’t imagine where ever Kaiser got the idea to name this 1951 concept the “Safari”.

Nope....it's a Plymouth.

 

Darracq as raced in the Vanderbilt Cup in 1906. Google 1906 Darracq and you will find a recent recreation which supposedly uses the actual crankcase of this same car, though it is now fitted with later, larger bore, blocks (180 mm bore vs 160 mm in 1906). The stroke is 140 mm.
