    where was this taken? I used to ride one like this back and forth on the Cape Fear river with my granddad when I was a kid...he was friends with the operator

    Seeing stuff like this make me glad I am not in commercial construction anymore - those guys in that ditch seem to have a lot of faith in soil cohesion...

    These are from mid-late 40's in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania from my boss Carole ( owns a collector car lot and KNOWS HER STUFF !! Guess she got it from Dad .... :D )

    Don't know - pulled from the web. It caught my eye because when I was a kid, my family took a trip to Western Kentucky BI (before interstates) in our 1954 Ford and I remember we crossed a river on a ferry like this - scared the bejeebers out of me!

    Those utes and only 4 door sedans meant it had to be somewhere in Australia.

    It was a line from a popular song from the 1980's group , MEN AT WORK, Song : Land Down Under. Vegemite is an Australian lunch spread somewhat comparable to our "Spam". From what I hear it's good but takes getting used to. They have had it for decades

    Yes and where I said sometime way back regarding this same photo - The kitchen help should not be allowed to park in the main customer lot. :') flamingo.jpg ( Hint: The Chevy's)
