    Yes, the J40 was based on the A40 Devon and Dorset models. Initially The Pathfinder Special was produced, based on the Jamieson OHV 750 Austin Seven racing car of the late '30s. However sales were poor so it was dropped after a year. These models are now rare, sort after and command high prices.
