Just some cools pics
I wish towns still did this.........
Why does this milkman look so happy?
So do I. Every time I see a photo with Xmas lights strung up Main Street it reminds me of my hometown. I will stare at the photo for a few minutes and childhood, holiday and winter memories come flooding back.
Three feet ???
Me in the red hat in 1957. This is a still from an 8mm film. My love of cars started early ...lol
I know what you mean, I miss it also. I also remember how the stores would have christmas scenes painted on their front window. Those were the days when men were men, and women were straight.
Move to Georgia, ...most of them decorate for Christmas...!!!
The 13th pic down with th 37 Ford 5 window looks like Cobble Hill on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Probably in the 60's
Some still do. Hartford, CT has holiday banners on the downtown streetlights, lights and some sort of displays (along with an ice skating ring) in Bushnell Park and other festivities. My town of Colchester has done a lighting on the green for at least the past 25 years. They also have a "Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year" sign that I remember seeing as a kid, some 56 years ago.
Yep, looks like Jim L's model A in the right lane... Had a hopped up Chevy in it. After that he switched to new corvettes.
