This is a scene from Prince's Drive-in in Houston back in 1957. Princes actually used to pipe air-conditioned air into their customer's cars via those long tubes.

 

Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, circa 1960

 

3200 Knox street in Dallas after a snow storm back in early 1949. Not much different from today.

 

a B-17 flying over the heads of a film crew south of Midland during the making of a classic "Don't Mess with Texas" public service announcement.
