I have a personal interest in the 38/39 Ford trucks and have collected well over 1000 images of the series. I'll try to hold it down to vintage shots or this thread... don't shoot if something post 64 slips in...

Swi, do you know where the third pic in 93577 is from. That car is part of the Jack Rich collection, won Pebble Beach a few years ago. It is a Voison Berline, and is my favorite car ever.

I wish some one "who was really there" would disclose who really did the work, the hard labor, when the Kopper Kart was put together. And where is it now? I love it, but who was "the behind men" that did the welding, designing, assembling, upholstery, paint, etc..? was Dick Dean involved..? who else?

I had someone tell me one time that there were two guy's who had a small shop near Barris and he claimed that they did a great deal of the work on many famous cars back in those days and Barris got the credit!

I never knew if this story was true but the guy who told me the story used to work and travel with Carl Casper taking his show cars all over the country and he knew George Barris well.

He also told me that these two guy's used to weld a hub cap down in the truck area of the cars they worked on kind of has Trademark for their work.

Anyone know if this is true?
