Can anyone name the famous model in the back seat of this 1954 Ford FX-Atmos concept car?
Looks like Bettie Page.....
Anyone familiar with faulty towers starring John Cleese? That red 1100 looks like it needs a good thrashing.... especially if it doesn't start!
Yes I do remember that.
Poor old Basil was quite manic. Just don't mention the war!
Fawlty Towers was brilliantly funny. Maybe a few weeping willow branches will beat some sense into that 1100!
My Dad used to have a pull type grader like the one in this photo sitting in his salvage yard. Considering that the location if this photo is only about 40 mile away from his place it could have been this one!
I've got a red 64 like this, with a white roof.
I remember that a friend bought one of these new in 1963. Bright red, it was absolutely stunning!
Help me here fellas. What engine is that? I know it's MOPAR, but which one?
i THINK it's the polyhead 318.
YEP!----Ford called it the "Roadster" model.
"Sports Roadster" to be exact. There were 1,427 built in 1962 and 455 in 1963...according to Wikipedia.
1959: Americans reacting to news of the invention of the birth control pill.
Lots of darkroom stuff still available, though the selection is down. Upside is that film cameras, enlargers and the like are dirt cheap!
This is my favorite thread on the hamb and this morning it got even better.
swi66 posted some pics and one brought a tear to my eye. The picture of the grocery store named Dixons was my dads. My God I grew up in that store, so many memories. You just never know what your going to find on the HAMB. Thanks swi66
