The newest I can find is are 62s but there is a Chevy II behind the Rambler that can be up to a 65,the only way I can tell one is a 65 is the tail lights. and they can not be seen.

This is Henry Ford in the passenger seat of what is described as a Brush Flat car, but there's no info on a car with that name on Google. The guy between Henry and the other fellow with the derby, with his arms crossed, is a local guy, Joseph Quick Johnson, a mechanic for Ford that moved near here to farm. Ford used to visit him and he still did work for Ford and it's said Ford gave him a new car each year for his help.

Hadn't heard "Comin' In On A Wing And A Prayer" for who knows how long, and caught myself singing along. Also understood most of the lyrics in Russian, even though it's been more than 50 years since I had to use what I learned at Monterey.

    Thanks...

Some eagle-eyed readers! I will take your word for it that there are '62 autos around. I thought I spotted a '63 Ford (the rear) in the background, past the JCP bldg, but probably mistaken.:)

Thanks for posting these unseen (to me) images of late career B-36's! You always post great stuff. Any reference to the location of this flyover?

  16. Thanks, and thanks to all others who post these many shots of our past history as well!

Sorry I'm not sure where that Peacemaker flyover is but seems I remember it being someplace in Colorado. I have archived hundreds of pictures over the years and don't always note the origin (my bad).

[IMG] 52-2827, was the very last of the ten-engine strategic bombers built at Fort Worth, completed 1 July 1954. It was delivered to the Strategic Air Command, 92nd Bombardment Wing, Heavy, at Fairchild Air Force Base near Spokane, Washington, 14 August 1954.
