  2. That is the Balboa Pavilion in Newport Beach CA about 1955. It is a state Historical Landmark, been there since 1905. Just had my 40th high school reunion there a couple months back.
    Here is a modern shot

    Italian Racing Car Visits Disneyland

A Italian made 1956 C4 Abarth 207A by Boano racing car makes an appearance on Main Street U.S.A. – 1958. Dr. Karl Brigandi purchased this Abarth (214c) late in 1956 and he and his daughter Carmela (Martin) raced it at least 20 times from late 1956 into 1958. Note the Womens’ Sports Car Club logo on the very small door. In the photo are (l to r) Tommy Walker, Bobby Kasper, and Dianne Salisbury of Disneyland’s Customer Relations staff.

Beating the winter blahs on skis behind a car ("skijoring"). Great footage from 1955 with skiers towed by motorcycles and Porsches here.

  12. T-Head, I live in the city that used to be called Haney. Those and many other great photos are available in the City of Vancouver archives. I've found their archives to be one of the best for "our kind of photos".;) Thanks for posting these. I also found many lately in a book, called "The Automobile Saga of British Columbia".

I think you are thinking of the Valley Drive-In, which was located on the NE corner of Holt Ave (U.S 70/99/60) and Central Ave, which is now Montclair.
