I don't get it the humor. That comment is a cheap shot to the less fortunate or should I say ones without fortunes.

Some pics from Vancouver Island. 1961 or 1962. Either San Cobble Raceway or out in Shawnigan somewhere

The same Simca caught my eye, also another French little ca there, an end of 50's Renault Dauphine fifth in the line. I've heard they imported Renaults to US in the 50's, but didn't know that also Simcas were imported...

Its funny what we remember as a kid! A lot of folks locally seem to remember him. A huge sign from there still hangs in one of the old warehouses on Water Street.

And some more Peoria stuff, here's a photo from the construction of I-74 through the heart of the city in 1958.

I grew up in Bloomington and recall Reddy Kilowatt from TV ads. We'd go to Peoria to window shop at Carson Pirie Scott. Fancy. When I-74 opened, my dad was thrilled to drive that far without stopping! Great posts.

You're a part of the vast majority. Deuce Daddy Don's "humor" is reserved for those of a bygone era, over the age of 80. Would be fun to see him grab the mic at a stand up comedy club and bomb for 30 minutes though. :D
