This was North Americans experimental aircraft shortly after WWII, combining 2 Mustangs, similar to the Lockeed P-38 "Lightning".

 

not experimental - it was built to a spec, given a number and numbers were put into service and action, afaik

 

An F-82 Also had the 1st U.S. aerial victory in Korea

Bristol Blenheim, date and location unknown, all I know about the Blenheim is that it started out as a passenger plane design, and that there are a couple left, one in flyable condition:

 

Grumman Wildcats, in Royal Navy service as the Martlet

 

especially if it come from a Studebaker truck!

 

Had me for one second there, then I began studying the flight control surfaces and then noticed it's the same plane photoshoped side by side.

 

Caproni Ca-60 Noviplano, made only one flight, reached 60 ft, then plunged into the lake, 1921



McConnell XF-85, "parasite fighter," supposed to be launched from a B-36 to protect the bomber from fighter attacks, didn't work out very well, 2 left, one in the AF Museum and one at the AF Academy:



Northrop XB-35, piston-engined version of the flying wing, later converted to jet-powered XB-49, AF canceled program for very controversal reasons (though the bomber had a hard time dropping bombs on targets), AF destroyed all the versions, and John Northrop quit the company. Later the AF revealed its then-secret B-2 flying wing to him, long after he left Northrop...

Yeah, the starboard and port prop pairs are strangely in synch!
