Catalina Park near Katoomba, west of Sydney. No longer used as a race circuit. Only parts of the track remain I am told, with the local indigenous people now having posession.
Anyone else from Australia seen it lately?
The car behind the Stude. is a 48/215 Holden, more commonly called by its nickname the "FX". Built from 1948 to 53.

Missed it, but thanx. Another shot for my Navy file. While I was on the Ranger we also did this cool deal with B-25s off San Diego celebrating Dolittle's raid. I posted some pix some place here on the HAMB awhile back. Anywho, we deck launched two B-25's with lots of Warbird flybys ta boot. Some days were funner than others. Gary

Now that I have my B-26s turned into B-25s, also see: http://navysite.de/cvn/cv61.htm

Outside of Nashville Tenn at 14-16yrs old I was the cutter and spiker, cut the stalk close to the ground, spike 7 stalks to a stick, and pray it didnt rain the night before you had to load it onto the wagon because the water made it 10 times more heavy than normal
30 yrs now in the work force and that by far was the worst job Ive ever had

Working on a logging crew near Downeyville, Ca. when I was 18, I worked setting chokers behind a Cat. We were working a canyon at a 60% grade. Only lasted two weeks, and I was in good shape. Worst job I ever had.

Safety regulations would probably prohibit you from doing this now. Ahhh, for the good old days when a man could enjoy a good ride on a bomb and not be hassled. :D
