  2. ...a nice shot to see the flow of the lines and how nice the front fenders fade into the door bubbles on the GM A-, B- and C-bodies by Fisher! i'm glad i put some extra attention to this, amazing to see how the door swivels into the fender while opening, took some adjusting time after frame off ;)... poor that the only drive-in theater in Hamburg, Germany closed its doors some years ago, sure was fun! 'twas a cruise to the entire city for us.. through suburbs, down to downtown and out again through industrial areas.. friend of mine (postman on Hamb) owns one of the speakers, always a good memory... thanks, keep on, boys.

Electronic flash. As a photographer in the 50's I remember caring a wet cell battery up and down the football field with a 4x5 speed graphic camera. Honeywell made the first one, battery seemed to weigh 50 lbs.

I believe this was taken at China Lake, CA, in 1963. President Kennedy visited NOTC.

Amazing that this building still exists. It even has a Skyway connection.

This central office moved across the street to a new facility, after NET&T introduced dial service to Saugus, circa 1959. I attended kindergarten in this very builing, 1963-1964!

I know that's not an XB-70, I was not refering to that aircraft, it was simply a metaphor to describe just how cool the CF-105 is.

It was 11:20 the cold crisp morning of February 12, 1908; just minutes after the President of the AAA New York City Chapter fired the gold pistol above the Times Square crowd. For the Race Teams, the feeling was nothing like the life or death ordeal that would lie ahead for the next six months. On the contrary, exhilaration was probably the better word to describe driving through hundreds of thousands of New Yorkers straining for a glimpse of these “horseless carriages” headed to Paris. Proceeding north on Broadway, the streets were lined with tens of thousands of people 8 to 12 deep for miles to the northern city limits.

The race is on and the contestants are just about to leave NYC and start a race of epic proportions, stop by The Old Motor for Part 5 by Jeff Mahl.
