Sesquicentennial parade entry for Jefferson City, Missouri 1971. The 1967 film starring Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway had returned Bonnie & Clyde to popular culture.

  5. That's the one! When the Thunderbirds flew them and snuck up behind you at an air show the god-awful noise and black smoke would scare the shit outa you. Women would scream babies would scream almost as bad as the VC did in Viet Nam when they heard them(usually too late). Looked just like shark fixing to bite ya in two. My favs!

Gary, thanks for this one. Don't recall seeing it before, though we've seen the individual shots of award recipients. This really caught my eye because of the '51 Olds 98 convertible. The 98s were really fine, comfortable cars. There couldn't have been too many in 'vert form, comparatively speaking, though.

Nice, but, it's hard to beat an F-86 Sabre. They are just "Classic". :)

  20. Looks like a cross between an Edsel and a Cadillac...

Guess it comes from parking your Caddy too close to a Edsel.

This is just one of a series of photos that you can see of what we call here in Vermont Mud Season, which is in full force at the moment. Take a moment and visit The Old Motor to see some neat Mud Season photos.

We wish all of our friends around the world a Happy Easter Sunday, with this circa 1908 card, showing a chick chauffeur along with a chick couple.

  30. T38 is beautiful but was never a fighter!

I've got to find my photos of the last Phantoms refueling over the desert when they were being ferried overseas for the European services.
