  1. That hair is the cat's pajamas! To me, it seems like the 40s was one of the most stylish of all decades.

  15. Correct you are Jim! Guess I was so busy with apples, oranges, cantalopes, & melons that I overlooked Southurn, who will likely 'relish' in getting credit from the 'fruits' of his effort...:)

  20. Any savvy Photobucket users here? Why is the new site not letting me upload Bitmap? I could a couple of days ago...

edit: Seems I get to re-do every one to png, how inconvenient.

That's from the Cushman collection at Indiana University. He was kind of a lech. There are several shots of this woman apparently taken that same day in the Marina District in SF. She looks pretty PO'ed in all of them. Here's another.

  23. I've been having some issues with them recently too. Especially when trying to resize pics. They revamped the site and some of the same old problems they had before are now reappearing. I sent a complaint to 'em but their tech support has never responded. I use jpegs and have had no trouble uploading them. I tried Picasa awhile back, I might to back to it. Had no problems with it but I didn't use it a lot either.

  24. I never saw the second pic you posted but I found that first one here on the HAMB probably on the previous/closed vintage shots thread maybe 3 or 4 years ago; it pops up every so often. Yeah the lady doesn't look too happy with the photographer, for sure. Your comments help confirm that look of near-disgust. Thanks for the background info.
