As it turned out, Maryann was also the smart one. All of the others only received residuals for reruns of the show for three years. She was married to an agent at the time and he insisted that she get lifetime residuals. The network felt that the show would bomb so they said "OK, whatever". She was the only one in the cast who received residuals past the third year :)

I agree it degenerates the thread. There's some real unfunny, low life, holier than though $hit being said and it doesn't do anything for the quality of the thread.

  13. Sorry mate, I have tried to find out something about this pic but have drawn a blank. It was sent to me in an e-mail with no info. It is kinda' driving me crazy as I want to know more about this woman myself!

We are trying to find the location of Hammett Motors, if you can help stop by The Old Motor and leave us a comment.

Looking West on Park Avenue in Middleport. You can see the outline of the old trolley tracks under the road. This was taken in 1955.

Hi, Jim. Like Doc, I don't like looking the mirror either, but I do not seek to have my face appear on Face Book, or anywhere else on the 'net, for that matter. I will, however, clarify my comments, as a key point is missed, IMO.

The crime of the obviously unflattering Tina Louise shot is that it was shot by a pro at some special occasion. Shame on him for letting this frame be shown to the public. Given the circumstances (she was trying to strike a pose), he'd almost certainly have had other frames to choose from. Photographers call it a "shoot-to-use" ratio (more accurately, a shoot-versus-use ratio). You choose the few that have the best photographic qualities and sideline (even trash) the majority that are sub-par for various reasons. In the past, some even punched holes through frames of film they didn't want published. Nobody can convince me this was just a surprise "grab" shot where he only had time to point and shoot a single frame.

Everybody who's lived in a home with a Brownie or other basic camera has had the unpleasant experience of getting caught with a goofy expression on his/her face. You're doomed to family members pointing and chuckling good-naturedly for the rest of your life, am I right? :p The Ginger shoot, though, was almost certainly not an amateur "snapshot" type of situation.

But, hey, maybe the photographer didn't like "Gilligan's Island." Seriously, though -- YES -- I should have put deserved criticism upon the photographer, not his unfortunate subject.

It appears that Russ Dawson served as your local Cortina/Anglia dealer. I liked Cortina's.
