My Dad and I, and my brother and I (I'm the taller one which didn't last long) with our 53 Oldsmobile. The first photo is in Wichita, and the 2nd in rural Waukomis, Oklahoma.

I'd love to hear that story. Can you post a link to it?

Seven Tuckers were tested at the Indianapolis Speedway between September 16 and October 5, 1948. The cars tested were #1026, #1027, #1028, #1029, #1030, #1031, and #1032. They were driven a total of 13,134 miles. #1027 crashed and rolled three times.

Tuckers #1031 and #1032 were not completed by September 16 so they arrived after tested had begun on the other cars. Tucker #1014 and likely others were also tested at Indy at different times.

Sandy River and Rangley Lakes R.R. is the little 2 foot guage in the back ground this R.R was purchased during the depression for a penny a pound by Ellis Atwood and moved to South Carver Mass. Where it was set up to work his Cranberry bog plantation. In the 50s he got so many request for rides on his "little" trains that he started giving rides to people on weekends and holidays when they were not serving their purpose of transporting crates of berries from bog to processing plant. This became so popular that EDAville R.R. was formed strictly as a museum and steam train ride this thrived into the early 90s When the 3rd and final owner of the steam stock closed and sold off the trains these trains are still running in Portland Maine and some have returned to their original home in S.R.&R.L. region running once again on the original rail lines for tourists enjoyment.

Maine has a great state Museum in Augusta at the State House if your ever in the area you really should visit it, One of these engines is in the lobby of the museum the first displays cover Maine's logging history.
