  6. Did you know Astaie was in his 50's when he made these films w/ Ginger.
He was in great shape, Ginger was all so in great shape.

Thanks to RainWeb.net, here's everybody's fave lady of the evening, Elvira,
aka Cassandra Peterson. After lighting up the L.A.-area airwaves hosting
late-night B-horror flicks, Elvira gained quite a national and international
following. Not bad for starting in low-budget live TV! Of course, being
gorgeous instead of gory didn't hurt Elvira, ya think???

There's actually a lot more to Cassandra than her wisecracking Elvira
alter-ego. Under the black mane of a beehive hairdo, she's really a redhead
and a tad shy. She blames Elvira for bringing out her evil tendencies. Once
when asked by Johnny Carson what her favorite horror movie was, she
fired back: "The Head With Two Things." After letting the gag sink in
(cracking Johnny up!), she corrected herself -- with feigned innocence --
"I meant, 'The Thing With Two Heads'!"

In a refreshingly frank and humorous interview with PEOPLE, Peterson
discussed crafting the sexy, self-mocking Elvira character/emcee.

At 14, Cassandra said, she was blown away by Ann-Margret's dynamic
screen talents and looks when appearing with Elvis in "Viva Las Vegas!"
I'll bet you did a little double-take at this photo. Here, IMO, she had Ann's
early-'70s hair and eyes down pat.

Actually, he was born in 1899 and most of the movies with Ginger were in the '30's and early 40's. He did continue to work with other partners in his '50's and had a great TV special in '58 with Barrie Chase as his partner.
