As a general rule occopying German forces, which were part of the regular army, navy or airforce, behaved rather modestly towards the property of the civilians of the occupied country. Most of the stealing, particulary of the Jewish population, was done by the SS, and by the collaborators. When cars changed hands, usually a normal price was negotiated. Of course things got worse as the war progressed, but many cars simply remained laid up for the duration of the war. As the war continued petrol got scarce for the occupying troops as well.
Since the cars shown obviously are being used by German airforce units it is not at all likely they were stolen. (And no, I am not German...;-))

This is one of two postcards we have up on The Old Motor showing a National roadster at the Outsyde-Inn on Kelly Lake, Wisconsin. The other card shows a close up of the car and the Inn.

[IMG][IMG][IMG]Bill Albee was the driver of the above vehicle, running over his father as a demonstration of the effectiveness of low pressure combined with a very flexible bag/tire. This vehicle was designed and built in just 9 weeks at the request of the Army Transportation Corp. in 1953.
