Now that is a big car! I doubt you sit that high in an unmodified dually F350.

I've established that this car, Tucker #1004, is the second oldest existing NASCAR automobile. The oldest is in Florida unrestored. There is a car in the NASCAR Museum that is older but it was found to be not the original car. NASCAR agrees with my determination.

I'd love to find a photo showing the rear of the car while it was used in NASCAR. Any HAMB'er have one around in their shoe box?

Okay, maybe this will help. I'm no Chry/DeS AirFlow expert, so here's a genuine, and reasonably sharp
original photo of a '34 Chrysler AirFlow, as submitted to SHORPY by one of Shorpy's members, pammydale

Oh, and that Buick bumper appears to be a straight shot, left-right, one plane. The Chrysler bumper seems to be definitely curved. Just saying.

It's me or the body on this car seems to have a "style-disconnect" between the hood and front fenders and the rest of the car, from firewall and windshield back?.

The flight was in the latter part of May so it would appear this was very shortly afterward. Someone may have the details on the photo. It looks like people are being allowed to look inside the cockpit. A remarkable time!

We know who and I doubt the photo was taken in 1953, there are other pictures of him and the Reo when he drove it from Spokane Wa to San Francisco's World Fair in 1941.
