I figured out this is Siebert, Colorado after seeing the highway marker and mileages.

  19. Wow, this is way cool...any more details on it? Has anyone seen one of these recently? What a kick-ass dragster/funny car support vehicle this would make.

Early International Advertizing clearly states that International
builds "Auto Buggies" and "Auto Wagons"

....From these early 'teen' photo's it's easy to see that yes, they were indeed
a buggy with an automobile engine attached.

But that would all change as International progressed and became less 'Buggy' and more 'Auto',
(More on that in a bit)...

........A final few picks before the transition

Sometime around the early/mid teens International dropped the
'Buggy' and 'Wagon' references and started to refer to their
    products as "Motor Trucks"

..although we can still note that the wheels were obviously still more
    or less 'Buggy'...

Also in the mid teens International Motor Trucks
began to offer the all new (optional) Pneumatic Tires.

Below we see the last of the true Buggy style wheels with hard rubber tires.
This is a 1915 or 16 Model E International built for the local Telephone Co.
Note that 1915/16 also saw the phasing out of the boxy hood

    Below,
Although not yet fully proven, those new-fangled Pneumatic tires
became more and more plentiful on the light truck line while heavier
models would still use solid rubber on wooden wheels......

*Note that the flimsy 'Buggy' wheels are almost a thing of the past
for International as by 1916 real heavy duty wooden rims were
required (for use with the increasingly heavier loads) .

.....And Although he's carrying a load of balloon tires, this '16 International rides on hard rubber.
-The 'aero dynamic nose' indicates it's an International Motor Truck
of the 1916 to 1920 vintage.

Below is a pre '16 model sporting Pneumatics
    [IMG]

This pic is dated as 1916 (Aerodynamic nose)

    Below,
Note that the following Adverts (1920) seldom mention "new
model year" as Detroit nor the Auto industry were subscribing to the
'Annual Model Change' as of yet.
...But that wasn't too far off in the future as General Motors would
soon integrate the annual model change as part of CEO Alfred Sloan's 1926
Self proclaimed "Planned Obsolescence" scheme that was aimed at making you
believe you needed a new Vehicle (or toaster) more often. (Other
manufacturers would follow GM's lead into and thru the late 20's and beyond).

Those in charge of International (and McCormick Deering) learned
early on that toys were a great form of advertising.

Here, a young farm boy plays with toy versions of International
Harvester machines, including Farmall tractors, a McCormick-Deering
10-20 tractor, an International truck, an all-steel thresher, a manure
    spreader and horses.

Note the International Harvester cream separator in the back ground. (1926)

distribution of novelties through the company's dealerships Includes
color illustrations of a toy tractor, toy truck, thermometer, and
    monogrammed pencils.

"make a profit - build good will and increase your sales through
effective advertising which costs you nothing." (1925)

Below is an Advertising poster for International Harvester toys
produced by Arcade Toys. Included are color illustrations of a toy
model farm, tractor, truck, plow, wagon and stationary threshing
machine, and the slogan "sturdy toys for girls and boys."

-Also includes the text "summer on the McCormick-Deering toy farm." (1927)

Yes, The Red Baby Speed Trucks were at a dealership near You, both in

An International of some sort :) Mack Brothers Motor Car Co became International Motor Co in 1911 and International Motor Truck Corp 1916-1922, then Mack Trucks Inc

    The Highly 'touted McCormick-
    Deering Red Baby Speed Truck
    must have been dam fine!

This Color cartoon shows the value of the Red Baby Speed Truck
    to International Harvester dealers.

The cartoon is titled "Try These for '23."

(Image appeared in Harvester World Magazine, March 1923)

And if I get the gist of it:

The Orders at the dealership are stacking up
just as farmer Jones sees a brand new Red Baby Speed Truck
    heading this-a-way!

Obviously, owning a Speed Truck increases profits!
    builds your business!
and they start in any weather! Yipppee!

In Fact, the Speed Truck is so successful that Red Baby
has to work overtime to build more shinny new Speed Trucks
to keep up with the Orders!

    -------------------

    Here's a 1923 International "Red Baby" model S (S is for Speed!)
loaded with binder twine and a stationary engine.
In the background a woman holding a small child stands watching
from the front porch of the house.

I can almost hear her ....
"Hoarse You Slow That Speed Baby Down Right Now"!

The keen ones out there might notice that they airbrushed Unice
    out of the advertizement....

The Red Baby had a 1,500 pound capacity irregardless of speed

Below we see a salesman selling "One Minute" washing machines to
    the farmer's wife.
The washing machines are loaded in the back of the Red Baby.
The One Minute Washing Machine Company was based in Newton
    Iowa.
