This is the early home of the Offenhauser Equipment Company not to be confused with Offenhauser Engineering which built the famous Indianapolis racing engine. Fred C. Offenhauser was the nephew of Fred H. Offenhauser (of Indy fame) and originally started out working for his uncle. However, they fought about everything and in the end hated each other so much that I've heard they went for decades without speaking to each other. At any rate Fred C. started his company just after WWII and I believe it is still in business today with his family still in charge. If anyone here knows more about this any new information would be welcomed.
Only if its a 270 or 302,anything smaller would not be worth cutting the firewall to install. I really like the 235 I have but no way would I do surgery to put it in a smaller engine compartmet.
