Wish I had a picture of that '48 fastback. Abused custom, bashed in hood, grille, deck lid, wore out 235. Interior was torn up custom cloth, & everything chromed that would come off. Frank let me strip as much as I could in an hour - I was trying to get it from Bremerton to Idaho Falls on 72hr liberty, & it blew the side out of the block about 3AM in Garden City. Still got the garnish rails & jockey box lid.
I wish I had every POS (I say lovingly) I ever owned. The 48 had dippers on the rod caps if I remember right.
Went there many times with my mother, thanks for all the images of the towns in the Connecticut River Valley.
