Hello, A long time ago, we used to sit in this 4 door Chevy sedan at our cousin’s house driveway. Our folks were inside visiting, while the kids were outside playing all sorts of sports that the front yard could offer. This included sitting inside of the 52 Chevy 4 door sedan. We all took turns sitting in the driver’s seat pushed up as far as it would go forward. We still had to scoot forward to reach the pedals. 4 ladies out for a spin… One day, I was out in front taking some movies and photos of our old Westside of Long Beach house. Then a few ladies came out of the front door and then, a couple more, including my mom. She sat in the passenger side seat and the ladies were off for a day's worth of shopping, dining and what ever moms did in the late 50s. By this time, I was a young teenager and those memories of being little kids sitting inside that same chevy 4 door sedan sparked some flashbacks. Little kids and stick shift Chevys, what could go wrong??? Ha! But, as they pulled away from the curb, I kept filming. The funny thing was, I got "razzed" by our neighbors coming down the street in their 59 Impala almost as the ladies quickly pulled away from the curb... Jnaki Our earlier young kid, in-car shifting was fun and our imaginations took us everywhere. But, we did practice stepping on the clutch pedal between shifts. Then of course, when our parents saw all of us in the sedan, they came out and told us to get out of the car, before we all broke something. They controlled us, but could not control our visions, while we were sitting behind the steering wheel and shifting through the gears. Looking ahead to "teenage wastelands..." "And don't look past my shoulder The exodus is here The happy worlds are near Let's get together Before we get much older..." Early car mania at its finest… YRMV
