Southern Ontario, Canada stock car and super modified legend Ted Hogan. Lost his life in an airplane crash over Lake Ontario.

Interesting shot of Ted Hogan at Oswego Speedway, Oswego, New York. The early days of the evolution of super modified race cars. Hogan's car was a true tube frame racer, typical of those that raced at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto and Southern Ontario in the early 1960's while those of the Oswego regulars appeared more as Modifieds. Still fast!!

This shot of Hogan and I believe Doug Duncan on the right, his fabricator/mechanic. Duncan worked on many racers over the years from stock cars to sports cars. He was however best know for his Supermodifieds.

Two tone 6 cyl 210, probably had no outside mirror. The one on it isn't stock.
    Thanks @loudbang

Rootie, I certainly don't know anything about this car but is this an early Jim Robbins Co car? The logo on the side looks like the same one that the Jim Robbins Company used years later on their OEM interior parts and their after market seat belts. Maybe a stretched midget?

    Thanks.

I don't have any info on that car. I didn't notice the logo but you're right it does look like Robbins logo. Other than his Champ car exploits I don't know any of his early history. IIRC I believe he came out of Mich. so I went to the MARHF site to see if there was more background but it seems he was never inducted, which seems odd.
