Andy (in the helmet) and Vince Granatelli. Photo was probably taken in their Chicago shop in 1946/'47. While Andy is wearing a helmet I think he only drove at Indy in 1948 and it wasn't in one of the 1935 Miller-Fords like in the photo. He crashed in 1948 and I've always wondered just how they accepted his entry as a driver since he had very little actual racing experience. Maybe things were a bit more lax at the time. You have to give the Granatellis credit as they came up with all kinds of interesting ideas and cars over the years. It's too bad spec racing has taken over just about everywhere today.
