Anybody know why they would paint that area blue?

 

Identified as North Albany - 1918. Would this be New York or Oregon?

Hey that is my 6th grade teachers Mrs Perkins son. Or one of them, she had two and they both Drag Raced I forget which one had this car.

1044 - N Lombard Ave. & N Fiske Ave. - Portland Oregon

 

1937 - SE Powell Blvd. & SW 39th Ave. looking south - Portland Oregon

 

1965 - SW 4th Ave. & SW Lincoln Ave. looking north - Portland Oregon

 

• A pair of models at an auto show are demonstrating a cut away “Step Down”Hudson sedan.

• The lead photos shows three women and a 1955 Packard Caribbean. We wonder if this may have been part of a traveling Packard promotion to help dealers or if it was just for a local parade?

I’ll take a guess, that the blue was added just to identify with white and blue that Melrose Motors identified with. The later Melrose Missile cars also included some combination blue and white in paint schemes. Even found old license plate frame online that has the blue/white combo.
