    Was the 312 a mid year option? My father bought a new 56 Ford with a 292...The car was passed down to my sister and then to me...The owner's manual listed the 292 has the. biggest engine. I think the standard trans engine had around 198 hp and the auto 202 hp...

    Hey 302GMC, any chance you were a BT in navy? I ask because rate symbol in this picture looks to be of boiler technician. Coincidentally I was a BT in mid 60’s on an undated WWII destroyer (DD), which looks to be same pictured in your avatar.

    Sure was ... DD808 out of San Diego '64 - '67. Smooth arm 2nd with an attitude ...

    Well …… Hello there fellow “Snipe” ,I was in ’64-’68 and a BT on DD818 out of Norfolk, VA ’64-’66.
