I grew up in Kannapolis, NC and my family were friends with the Earnhardts and i guilt model cars with Dale, nice family. Thanks for the pic and bringing back good memories.
The S1 steam locomotive was designed for Pennsylvania Railroads by Raymond Loewy. Industrial designer Loewy is probably best remembered for the double-ended, bullet nose Studebakers
'52 Lincoln with the new body style but still powered by the flathead. The '53 got the new 318 OHV with 4bbl carb. My mother had a '53 red Capri coupe with black top and GM Hydramatic. I took my driver's test in 1960 in that car which had about 25,000mi at that time. Those Lincolns handled surprisingly well compared to other 50's cars.
Nice ones. And there must be a lot more. It's been said that at one time she was the most photographed nude model in the world...but I'd think Bettie Page would've been hard to beat for that title.
