Does anyone know the story of this racer?

Never seen it before, but man it is cool!

 

This car is sorta Max Bellchowski , Old Yeller, El Caballo

 

Jim Hall Chaparell wanna' be,,,,?

 

Looks like it's been road hard and put away wet more times than it wanted...

 

What I find interesting is that it sits in the middle of million dollar cars and yet looks right at home.

Very cool race car.

 

With a touch of Cunningham thrown in for goood measure.

I really like the body on this car, it reminds me of stuff I saw at Riverside in the early sixties, some of the early Cobras had the same hammered look.

 

Cant help on the identification, but I love it. Just looks mean, panel fit and a few dings, its all business, past the stage of needing to be anything but a terror on the track.
