Technical Vintage KS Fuel Gauge Ohms Rating

  1. 2BC7A025-F3F5-4A05-8D86-05C2A12C8EF8.jpeg DBAE48AE-CC59-4C9E-B113-527B0F695425.jpeg I’m trying to determine the ohms range of an old K&S Distometer fuel gauge I’d like to use in my A Bone. Since Ford used a lot of K&S fuel gauges with a 73-10 ohm scale I’m speculating it is likely the same scale for the unit I have but don’t want to make an uneducated guess and purchase the wrong sending unit.

    Can anyone verify what the ohms scale for this era of K&S Distometer gauge may be? Thank You

I did a test requiring only 4-AA batteries wired in series to provide 6 volts and a $2 potentiometer that I scaled with a multi meter to determine the operating range for my gauge in ohms. Quite simple really...
