Decals were better than cash when I was a kid.

I was cleaning out the attic and tossed some old cheep steel cabinets, an old sticker fell off when I moved them. I have never seen or heard of this company, "The savage" clutches & flywheels.

  9. I wonder why water-slide decals have kinda fallen out of favor as a promotional tool. Seems everyone has chosen to go with the crummy slap-on vinyl stickers if they want to get their product or service names out there. It really is a shame as the old decals were just sooo cool and seemed to hold up well over the years. Is there a huge price differential if a company ordered them in bulk? I'm sure the graphic artwork doesn't come cheap, but it seems like the return on investment (and recognition) would offset the cost over time. Just my musings...........Oh and by the way Muttley, You are the acknowledged King of Decals.:D

  14. This one is from a local drag strip that operated from 1958 until it closed in 1974. It is mounted on a plate on my Chrondek "christmas tree".

  15. I think I may have asked this already a while ago but can't remember.

WHY the switch from waterslide to stickers? Like someone mentioned above the waterslide are sooo much better. Is it even possible to get waterslide decals anymore? Anybody know a source?
