Art & Inspiration Vintage Emblems & logos

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 3AMideaz, May 27, 2014.

  1. Vintage Logos - Automotive & other commercial applications have a style & quality typography rarely seen these days. Recently I stumbled across a site that has quite a nice collection.

the idiots who design new cars could take a lesson from the old days, you can look right at the emblem on a new car and still not know what kind of car it is.

  3. It also helps that cars then actually had names, not just random collections of letters & numbers.

Mid-50's MoPar overdrive script looks good to me...

Some may consider it dull & common, but also 30's Ford V8 logo appeals to me:

And of course: The Buick Eight!
