Hot Rods Vintage drags Little River Temple Texas Oct 9th

Schedule shows drags for HAMB type vehicles Oct 9th Saturday Temple Academy Little River Nostalgic Drags—-was going to race my 32 cab but have valve springs float at 4,000 rpm so will just hopefully drive the hot rod 90 miles each way and just be a spectator. Flatheads Forever!!!

Too far away at the moment but I spent a lot of Sundays there in 1969 and up though the early 70's.
That sounds like a fun event to go to.

 

Bringing the Mr. Hemi-Hunter. Looking forward to a fun time as usual at Little River. Gonna have to keep the wheelies under control, track is kinda skinny.

 

I used to go to Little River back in the mid eighties when they were still running the 1/4 mile, always had a good time. Wonderful setting, lots of shade and you could park right next to the track. This is one of several photos I have of cars that ran there back in the day. Not sure who owned it but it was a good looking car.
