I'm not sure if this is supposed to go in this forum or the "discussion and happenings" forum.. but I figured I'd try this one. .... I found these cool ribbed trim rings in the trunk of a '54 Cadillac. They are a wide ring that reaches all the way in to cover the "dog dish" cap and emulate a full wheel cover, and they look bitchin.. but I have no idea what they are or where to find two more to make a full set! They're 15" Can anybody help me out?
Those are what I used for trim rings on my car. Found a bunch of them at swap meets. I had to trim a little off of them to fit. Think they came off of a Chrysler. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Thanks for the reply. I looked into Chrysler trim rings and found these... Is this what yours looked like before you trimmed them? Or did yours have the ribs like mine? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Yeah they weren't the Chrysler ones. I know they were a two piece. The part I trimmed off was a 1/4" recess were the center cap fit tight against it. Now I have no idea what they are from. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Which ones are you referring to? The ones I just posted a picture of were on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/15-WHEEL-BE...Parts_Accessories&hash=item4614a3b9f5&vxp=mtr The ones that I have on my car were found in the trunk of a Cadillac.
Being that its ribbed its most likely a merc or ford with added chevy dog dish centers... I have no idea what year they are though.
There's a set of 16" rings for sale here locally on craigslist, they're like the ones 1951streamliner posted the picture of on ebay.
These look like the ones that were on my '50 Chevy Fleetline DeLuxe. I think you can still get them from the Filling Station.
