"Whether Skip built this car to be famous or for attention is irrelevant. His workmanship and artistic genius is obviously deserving of any and all accolades. I am one who is envious of his sticktoitiveness for actually finishing the car, and jealous of his creativity. Nobody loves rods and customs more than me, but I have never been famous and never will, being content with what I do, and enjoying pleasant relationships with other dedicated rod and custom builders with the same passions." Well said, Russ! I think...no I know, the overwhelming majority, really enjoy Skipper's build threads! And even if he enjoys the attention, so what? Great things always get people's attention. It's natural.
The upholstery looks great! Just like back in the days it looks handmade, and not like it has been chewed out of a machine
Thanks for looking out for me guys...I just get a thrill to show people that some ideas really work. Special thanks to Russ he has been a great friend to me. There will be another build thread by the middle of next year?...fingers crossed.
"There will be another build thread by the middle of next year?...fingers crossed." Oooooooooooo goodie goodie!!!<!-- / message --><!-- sig -->
Just showed my wife your car and she is very impressed with the entire build. Your wife must be over the moon
There's a little bit of dirt right there on the left side of the...oh, wait, that's on my monitor...it's perfect. More kudos than there are dollars in the PowerBall jackpot.
Wow! Stunning to say the least..You should be very proud, I'm sure someone is smiling from above in agreement!
I have always liked shoebox Fords. Coupes, 2-doors, woodies and convertibles, but have never liked the Vicky. You have made me a believer. This is the most proportioned Vicky I have seen. I think the big thing for me is losing the stock rear window and the chop. Perfect proportions. This will be the benchmark for Vickys. Stunning looks and attention to detail. Nice job. Pat
Very sweet looking ride!!!!!!!! Sitting right and the color fits it to a tee!! I tip my hat for a job well done my friend. Jimbo
Thanks Pat and Jimbo for the great comments...getting the car ready now for the GNRS. First car I have ever built to show and am very excited. Got a cool sign board coming also thanks to my friend Mitch (alteredpilot).
