And now to get crackin on your welding.
Skip, I should have a little something for you this weekend.
I'm still waiting for Skip to give us something from the last weekend.
See ya tomorrow!
Did that son of a bitch Skipper throw us through a loop? Y Block??? No wonders he didn't want my SBC OFFY Covers!!!
Tim you are the man!!!! Can't fucking wait to get it.
Me neither! I want an update!!!!
24 pages later, Victoria has let the Secret out!
Updates soon, please.
Skip, After seeing your stuff for years here on the Hamb and know how much you love Mid-Century decor and tiki type stuff. I am going to have to throw in my two cents here. I have no idea if you and the wife have decided on a color or not. I really dig the yellow and black combo. Coral and black would be good also. Those two combo's would look like the cover of Rod & Custom to me in the early 50's. But what do I know.
Good choice Skip, amazing car....!
Hahaha....timing cover was the biggest give away
Good to see ya today Mark, thanks for the tour of your stuff and letting me drive the "Duece" I'm all giddy about building the '35 SD now.
Drive the deuce!!! Awesome!!! That Skipper is a stand up guy!
Change his avatar to "Royalsneakybastard."
Yep, Skipper is my CA dad! They really don't come any cooler....
I don't get on here too often,,, Looks great. I vote for a medium brown/bronze with a gold roof. Nice work!!
loving this car!
And I've been keeping the secret this whole time! How did I miss this one? Looks great Mr. Shifter! I can imagine two tone paint colors are hard to choose. It came out beautifully and I'm sure Ladyshifter will be smilin' and stylin' when it hits the road!
Small update...thanks to Tim McMaster (mctim64) for completely building and balancing the 350 engine and Roger Scott (TSEDAN) for supplying the rebuilt 700R4 we now have the engine in with the Corvette valve covers, manifold and carbs that Ladyshifter picked out. Yes those are power disc brakes which she needs do to some knee surgeries.
looks killer ....
So awesome Skipper!!!!! I love the " '56 Chevy Red " engine color to....nice touch! Fuck, that's it I keeping my Corvette VC's. There's really nothing better looking then those all polished up or chromed.
I am so stoked for you!!! I want to know the color damn it!!!
I am coming in on March 3rd to L.A. so if I have some time and you are around I am making my way to Fresno.
You are always welcome and your club also....I just got the engine where I need it so now if you notice the crossmember has some engine motor mount plates...now I have to connect the two. Then it will come out and engine bay and frame will be chassis black thanks to KBS coatings. Progress is slow but steady with a fulltime regular job.
Looks Good! If I do say so myself.
Way cool, send me reminder and I'll swing by and say hello when you get here.
you are the KING of cool
